1st Game of the Year!
SD Mesa Softball had our 1st game of the year Wednesday Jan. 27. We won 16-0 against Mt. San Jacinto. It was a team effort because everyone had a chance to contribute to the win. We are excited for the win and have our 1st tournmanet this weekend in Glendale.
The Start of the Season
Mesa had 2 close games on Wednesday February 3rd @ Goldenwest College. We lost 3-2 against Goldenwest but freshman Kelsey McGowan hit her 1st Intercollegiate Homerun!! Kelsey had an amazing weekend in Glendale so she started the game on Wednesday batting 3rd and playing right field.
Confernce Started
PCC 2010 has began. Mesa is 1-2 and there next game is on Wed. March 3 @ home @ 3p.m. against City. Mesa pitchers have been doing an amzing job by not walking any batters and giving up less then 2 runs a game. Mesa split with IVC on Monday and lost to Grossmont on Wednesday. Freshman Natalie Smith pitched on Wed. Feb. 24 kept Grossmont to 2 earned runs but Mesa had to many mistakes.
Offensively Freshman Kelsey Mcgowan went 9 for 12 for the week with 8 runs scored, 9 RBI's and 2 HR's.
Bianca Gonzalez went 4 for 4, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI's, 1 2B, and 1 HR.
Kelsey Alvarez went 2 for 4, 1 run scored, 2 RBI's and 1 HR.
Denisse Martinez went 2 for 3, 1 run scored, 2 RBI's, and 1 HR.
Zarah Montes went 4 for 4, 2 runs scored, 1 Stolen base, and 1 2B against Grossmont.

PHILOSOPHY

With these skills the student-athlete can build their self-confidence and self-esteem. Our goals are to teach skills in a fun and positive environment.
