Learn. Grow. Transform. Mesa College’s elementary teacher preparation program will prepare you for education jobs nurturing young children, as you complete the teaching requirements necessary to become an elementary school teacher in California. Providing a comprehensive understanding of child development and psychology, your education classes will give you with the tools to support young students’ academic, social, physical, and emotional needs. Your teacher education training will also help you manage classrooms, work with parents and caregivers, and create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that are suitable for diverse, multicultural learners. As you bring your passion for teaching to your Elementary Education Associate Degree and prepare to transfer and/or launch your teaching career, you will have the tools to inspire generations of new learners and promote lasting developmental change.
